The name Ashwagandha is from the Sanskrit language and is a combination of the word ashva, meaning horse, and gandha, meaning smell. The herb is also called Indian ginseng or winter cherry.
Ashwagandha has been shown to increase energy, stabilise blood sugar levels and stimulate hair growth.
